Let me tell you about RELAX SPA, ladies and gents! Let. Me. Tell. You. The spa inside Rumors is more than a relaxation spot, it’s an oasis of tranquility. When you first walk into the salon the atmosphere is energetic and creative, but when you are escorted to the spa and that door closes behind you, you can just feel all of your troubles melting away.
First of all, the soothing scent in the waiting area, paired with complimentary refreshments (dried fruit, nuts, water and teas) and the super comfortable lounge furniture just makes you want to stay there all day (don’t make me go back into the real world after this is over! Try not to think about that now; you’re here so enjoy it).
As I am laying on one of the lounge chairs, Nico, my esthetician for the facial, hands me a clipboard and asks me to complete an information sheet. She explains that my answers will help her to better understand myself and to make sure that I’m not allergic to any of the products she is going to utilize during the appointment. She also asked me if I was happy with my skin and if there was anything that I would like to since she’s a problem solver and wants me to be happy with my body (wow, she really cares about helping me!). I told her that I’ve never even had a facial before and the only thing that I could think of is that my forehead tends to get oily. She took all of the information down and walked me down to Spa Room 5.
I thought a facial was just a massage to your face, but it’s so much more than that! I usually don’t like people touching my face, but Nico was absolutely wonderful. She explained everything she was doing and always asked how I was doing and how everything felt. Not only did she put on this delightful strawberry rhubarb mask (she used their Eminence brand which is 100% all natural), but she also massaged my arms, hands and neck! I’ve gotten massages before, but I couldn’t believe how relaxed and calm I was after my facial!
Nico, the problem solver, explained that I’m experiencing oily skin because I’m actually dehydrated and my skin is dehydrated. She pointed out a few things to help me, and it was relieving that she was conscious of my budget. The entire experience was completely different from one that I’ve had in the salon. Rumors Relax Spa was truly relaxing and had amenities that I would never think of; a steam shower, sauna, standard shower, and a Tala menu where you can order a drink and/or food and they’ll bring it right to you. Continuing with the royally gorgeous theme, Rumors knocks it out of the park with their Relax Spa.
